About the programme
The fine, small chamber choir “Bachspeglarna” comes from Sweden and captivates with its performances of Swedish, Danish and Norwegian choral jewels. Oskar Lindberg's Pentecost hymn opens the evening atmospherically: “High above land and water the starry twinkling of Pentecost evening watches. A song stands over the silent night like exquisite incense in the darkness.” Compositions from two centuries combine intense melody and beauty of sound with a closeness to nature and an unmistakably Nordic tone.
