Johann Sebastian Bach’s sacred cantatas offer hope, joy and consolation. They reflect the entire breadth of human existence and reach out to listeners worldwide. Three pieces from Bach’s diverse output of cantatas appropriate to the liturgical season are combined with two world premieres of invigorating freshness. New works from today form a dialogue with the old, opening ears and minds to the immortal young master from Leizpig.
