About the programme
Minjun Lee was born in 1998 in Seoul, Korea, and studied at the Korea National University of Arts. He has won numerous prizes, including the Jung-Gu Assembly President Award and the Yewon Achievement Award. As a pianist he was a prizewinner at the Korea Chopin Competition, the Steinway & Sons Competition and the Oberlin “Cooper International Piano Competition”. He gave his debut at the age of 13 at the Kumho Prodigy Recital and continued his career as a soloist and chamber musician, including performances at the Kumho Young Artist Recital and the Young Musicians Festival. He has showcased his musical skills worldwide, including at the Artfair Concert in New Caledonia, at the Germany Cultural Center and the Curtis Institute of Music.
