Zum Programm
Two consecutive concerts are devoted to the complete violin sonatas by George Frideric Handel with basso continuo accompaniment. These works of the highest quality are amongst the key repertoire of Baroque violin music: full of vitality and freshness, characterized by melodic variety and suppleness. Violinist Luminitza Petre – a prize-winner at competitions including the Tibor Varga, Rodolfo Lipizer, Dinu Lipatti and George Enescu – creates two compelling evenings with Jörg-Hannes Hahn at the harpsichord.
