Zum Programm

This concert has two surprises in store: firstly, “Musik am 13.” takes place “on the 11th” instead. Secondly, the programme contrasts two vocal works by George Frideric Handel with a new composition, commissioned in 2025 for “Musik am 13.” “ἰοίην” is the title of Carlo Forlivesi’s work scored for the unusual combination of guitar, two sopranos, chorus and baroque orchestra. The title expresses the longing to overcome boundaries. The work will effortlessly bridge the gap to the magnificent choral works by the great Baroque master.
